Payroll Specialist – Paylocity
On-Site | Downtown Chicago

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with strong experience in Paylocity to join our team in downtown Chicago. This role will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across all 50 states. The ideal candidate has prior experience managing high-volume payrolls, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a solid understanding of payroll compliance and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for a high-volume, multi-state employee population using Paylocity.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Manage employee payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and direct deposits.
• Audit and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Generate payroll reports and provide analysis as needed.
• Stay current on payroll regulations, tax updates, and system enhancements.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience, with at least 2 years using Paylocity .
• Experience processing payroll for all 50 states required.
• Background handling high-volume payrolls (500+ employees strongly preferred).
• Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting tools.

Schedule & Location:

• This is a fully on-site role located in our downtown Chicago office.
